  • I read Elon MUSK wants to build some cyberpunk electric trucks à la « Blade Runner » (Cf. https://www.recode.net/2018/11/2/18053428/recode-decode-full-podcast-transcript-elon-musk-tesla-spacex-boring-company-kara-swisher) ; so i guess he wanted to say « like the MAD MAX trucks » cause there's no trucks in Blade Runner, i resaw it recently, they're just used flying cars !
  • It could be good no ? It's so boring to see those all-the-same rectangular trucks on the roads. I mean if the drivers of the trucks are the ones who decide which trucks they need to buy, it would be an hit ! The driver tried to make their trucks more funny with stupid things they put on the pare-brise or in their cabins. But we didn't see that much nowadays, or maybe i did'nt see and it stills exists but it seems to me that before trucks drivers drives always the same truck and nowaydays they could drive different trucks so they're more or less unpersonnal. Well, that's my observation, i know nothing about « transport routier. ».
  • You know much than you thought.
  • Maybe it's just the people that has changed. I saw a reportage few years ago about the taxi drivers in which you could see images of taxi drivers in their taxis in the 70 's, I mean, it was like Carnaval ! Men were smoking, some had their dogs on the seat next them, they've got also all those stupids things accumulated on the pare-brise, blablabla.. And after that festival, you saw the images of taxi and ûber nowadays and there's all standarts, unpersonnal.
  • Well, taxi drivers are now employees of big taxi companies, there's no more, i mean in the big european cities, this kind of corsaires driving all the day long their own car that belongs to them, picking up people from there to here and talking about life, money and death. I think when the law had regulated the rate of alcohol you could have in the blood to be able to drive, it's quite recent, a lot of those peculiars anarchists had to stop their taxi job even if they were long-runners...
  • Alcohol is bad …
  • My father who had an alcoholic father always told me this story about a woman working in the ONU in Geneva that he had known who had become sober saying to him that it was a good thing to have stop alcohol drinking but how sad the life seemed to her then  !
  • I guess we will say « boring » nowadays.... not « sad »...
  • Well, we have to be aware that in the western society a lot of men were used to be drunk after their midday lunch. It's an important point to have in mind to understand those societies of the old centuries including the XXe. People really worked in the morning and in the afternoon they 'were just digest their lunch.
  • Well, we don't know. Nowadays, i read there's a problem cause a lot of young men who work in the building company smoke herbs and they're junked when driving very big engines. And you know ... everything is fine until everything went wrong. That's why legalization is important, as soon it's legal there could be a regulation.
  • Well, in others civilizations, the use of speeds is integrated in the social life in peculiar moments, so some specialists could talk about that better than me, but in societies where rites are still vivid, speed, i mean drugs in general, are used to open the doors but it's not just for fun it's to be aware of what happens in the world. It's within the society.
  • Well, maybe it's a good thing to explore perception without a mode d'emploi furnished by a traditionnal society ...
  • It makes me think of a kind western with Sean CONNERY taking place on planet MARS, I saw on a movie in the 80's, the script should be inspired by Philip K. DICK as usual, It was very good. So MARS was a kind of colony where workers were send to extract metals or others things from the ground in mines and the workers were drugged by the mining company in order to have a better productivity. Sean CONNERY was a kind of policeman but it was really like a western, I mean, Mars like a new land where the law is mereley respect by the one who've got money and infrastructure, especialy the Moîse law asking not to kill and to respect the other as yourself. Can't remember the title of that movie...
  • sounds good.. I wanted to say something intelligent but i 'm very tired.
  • Ok, have a nice sleep.
  • Thank you.
